The Riad Tarifa Hotel Review, Tarifa, Andalucia, Spain

June 2024 · 1 minute read

The nine effortlessly chic, individually designed rooms are styled in dusty pink, earthy red, dove grey and/or calming turquoise, with strips of beautiful hand-painted tiles and imaginative use of tadelakt (an ancient Moroccan waterproof plaster technique), especially in the lovely bathrooms dotted with little alcoves.

There are four categories and most rooms overlook the central courtyard. Basic rooms are the smallest, but still attractive, such as Room 7 with its aqua-coloured bathroom. Superior Room 9 has a four-poster bed and a rich-red bathroom hidden around the corner. A hot favourite is Premium Room 5, with two Juliette balconies, a lounge area, wicker baskets filled with blankets, and a rosy-pink bathroom.

All rooms have bottled water, robes, hairdryers and citrus-scented Hermès toiletries, and Premiums also include a free minibar with cava, snacks and hand-crafted mugs.
