Megan Thee Stallion Drops New Project Lets Her Label Know She Wont Be Treated Like A Slave

Megan Thee Stallion scored a win in court and has since released her project titled Suga. She also dropped a music video for her latest single B****.

The E.P dropped overnight and trended on Twitter and music charts all day. The rapper celebrated her small victory against her record label 1501 who was trying to prevent her from releasing new music.

Megan took to social media to explain to fans that when she signed her record deal, she didn’t understand some of the language used in the contract. She was only 20-years-old and excited to be signed.

This lead to 1501 legally being able to take a huge stake of her profit from appearances and performances and making her pay out of her portion for the things she needs to be an artist.

She sued her label and was granted a temporary ruling that allowed her to drop Suga.

Megan recently visited Hot 97 where she went into more detail about her situation.

‘If you know me you know I don’t like going back and forth, I don’t like a lot of confrontation. ou really gotta push me to upset me, or for me to even address something. So I feel like, you know, it was just time to say something. I mean my issue is not with money, I just want what’s fair. I want the proper agreement. I don’t want to be treated like an object, I don’t want to be treated like a slave. I want to be treated as a human being and… What’s right is right and what’s fair is fair.’

She has also made sure to warn fans or anyone looking to get into the biz to be sure to fully understand what they are signing up for.
